About the trail
The history of Toruń written with gingerbread
The Local Tourist Organisation in Toruń created an association under the name ‘Toruński Piernikowy Szlak Kulinarny – Smakuj Toruń’ (Polish for ‘Gingerbread Culinary Trail – Taste Toruń’). Established in 2004, this association is a cluster of hotels, restaurants, guides, and tourist attractions, working closely with the city authorities to promote Toruń as a unique place for its residents and tourists alike. As part of the Culinary Trail, we would like to invite you to experience a cuisine inspired by old recipes and seasoned with gingerbread, but also to take part in culinary workshops and river cruises, bake gingerbread products and create stained glass.
